Yeah, it has come to this… 2 persons “fighting” over 1 PSP. D wants to play his newest game, Tekken, while I want to play my Virtua Tennis.
I had to do something, before our marriage hits the rocks…
Since I had applied for my HSBC Credit Card during its promotion in June, I could redeem a PSP as long as both D (I applied a supp. card for him) and I charged a minimum of HK$2k each to our cards. This came in handy since we had to pay for our Divemaster course… kinda kill 2 birds with one stone, or more like achieve a few things with one card.
At first I thought I should just redeem the IPOD Nano 2Gb, but D reckoned that I will not be using the Nano much, since he has already repaired my IPOD Mini and my old Creative Muvo2 is still lying around. So the choice was made to redeem the PSP instead. Although I have to pay another HK$260 (fyi, no extra cost for the Nano), I get to choose the white PSP and it also comes with a game (some silly Monkey game that I want to sell).
Hmm, we now have 1 PS2, 1 XBox and 2 PSPs… the first 2 sets are gifts from the cable and broadband services that D had applied for when he arrived in HK, while his black PSP is another gift when he upgraded his broadband service last year.
Basically, there can be lots of freebies in HK, and these freebies can be good stuff too. It pays to look out for such promotions and take advantage of it.
Later this afternoon, I will drop by at the computer mall next to Wan Chai MTR Station to get a 512mb MagicGate for my PSP (D’s PSP has the 1Gb one which I think is too much for me) and the JBL “On Time” . The JBL set will be next to my bed and wake me up to the tunes of Pussycat Dolls or Black Eyed Peas. Looking forward to it.
And oh yeah, D and I are still together.
Latest dated 16 Aug 2006 Wednesday:
I went to Wan Chai Computer Mall today and bought the JBL “On Time” and a 1Gb Memory Stick Pro Duo for my PSP. The JBL On Time cost HK$1850/S$370 which is much cheaper than the one sold in Apple Store @ Wheelock Place Singapore (S$460). Actually I had asked the nice guy (his name is Anthony) if he could give me a discount since I had bought the 1Gb Memory Stick from him too and he did. BTW, the original price for the JBL On Time was HK$1899.
As for the 1 Gb Memory Stick Pro Duo, it cost me HK$325/S$66 which is much cheaper than what D paid for earlier this year (HK$700+). Wow, the prices have definitely fallen.
